Vojtěch Řepa retires from racing
Equipo Kern Pharma’s rider puts an end to his cycling career
Equipo Kern Pharma’s rider Vojtěch Řepa retires from professional cycling. The Czech will no longer be part of the team as he has decided to take a new path in his life. The pharmaceutical outfit fully supports the decision and wishes him a good future.
After weeks of reflection, Equipo Kern Pharma and Vojtěch Řepa have agreed to terminate his contract with immediate effect, as he explains: “I announced this decision to the team and we have agreed to terminate the contract by mutual agreement”.
“I would like to clarify that I have decided to end my professional cycling career and not cycling as a sport itself. Paradoxically, I am ending my career in a moment that cycling brings me the most fulfillment in life”, says Vojtěch Řepa.
“I would like to thank my family, friends, fans and sponsors for the huge support I have felt throughout the years, particularly Equipo Kern Pharma”, adds.
Juanjo Oroz, Equipo Kern Pharma’s general manager, states: “We would like to thank Vojtěch Řepa for his effort, commitment and honesty during the last three years. We are happy for him and we wish him a great new start”.
